The TIMAB Quality System

Complying with benchmarks for animal and plant nutrition is at the heart of what TIMAB Magnésium’s quality department does.  TIMAB is FCA and ISO 9001 certified. The scope of the certification includes all subsidiaries and wholesale activities. The quality system is built around these two applications to provide the best possible repsonse to the needs of the market.

Guaranteed certification

In addition to its integrated mining and industrial activity, TIMAB also has conducts major wholesale business.

This involves work in advance such as research, selection and monitoring of suppliers in order to establish long-term partnerships.

Delivering faultless quality products in total compliance with regulatory requirements is our priority. This is why we carry out a mandatory approval process before working with any new factory. This first key stage enables us  to guarantee that every product put on the market complies both in terms of regulations and quality.

Focus on FCA certification

A consultation platform founded in 2001 thanks to co-operation between animal feed stakeholders and service providers; in 2015, OVOCOM chose a vertical subsidiary approach to guarantee the safety of its animal feed through GMP.  GMP rules have since developed into an internationally-recognised and respected system. To reflect that it has become much more than Good Manufacturing Practices, the name has been changed to the Feed Chain Alliance Standard.

The idea is now to combine animal feed quality and safety: “Together for Safety and Quality!” ».

TIMAB factories: partners and continual improvement

On a daily basis, the TIMAB department holds discussions with our approved factories to ensure perfect production control.

Our Quality scheme is not only a performance tool, it is also a general state of mind within the business. Customer relations are at the heart of what we do.

Traceability is ensured on a daily basis

Keen to achieve food safety targets and to comply with the requirements of hygiene measures (regulation 178/2002), traceability is guaranteed for each stage of the process:

–        Production

–        Storage

–        Transport

The control plans for our products are based on our HACCP audit. These are adapted to the final application of the product and its chemical family. Depending on criticality and markets, some of our products undergo clearance tests.
